My Grandson is "3"

Hello,

I know it has been awhile since I wrote ---but kids and a business keep me busy. This is the latest of my darling grandson Caleb. I took this while he was standing on the counter in my bathroom and I just had to take it with the expression on his face. He just turned 3 on August 2nd - and it was a great party. My time I spend with Caleb continues to be my greatest joys in life.

I spend every Wednesday with Caleb by my choice not for babysitting; though I don't mind that either. He is now going to be going to a preschool 3 days a week. I know it will be good for him as he loves playing with other kids. He loves to learn new things and do crafts. He starts next week and I can't wait to hear what he did all day. My daughter is also very excited to see how he likes school and what he will learn. We are going to our lake house for Labor Day weekend and Caleb gets to fish with "Pa" (grampa) and he can't wait. This weekend is going to be even more exciting because our newest granddaughter will also be there. We will enjoy them both as well as family. I hope everyone reading this will also enjoy their Holiday weekend.

Mother's Day

What Great weather we had that day. I know this is a Grammie Blog but without my girls I would not be a Grammie. I have the most beautiful girls.

We took all different poses and it was so fun. Caleb was there, of course, he was involved in the indoor fun. I am finding lately that people are asking me, do you have any grandchildren yet? I, of course, take the opportunity to brag about my grandson Caleb; but now I can brag about our granddaughter, Hailey Ann! She came a couple weeks early, the day before Mother's Day. Peter's son Ben and wife Jessica had their first baby! She is also beautiful. I wonder sometimes how many grandchildren I will have by the end of my life.
I need to be more creative with my grandchildren. I have a book I need to look at and do very special things with them.
I wish grandchildren for everyone!!! It is like no other fun in life!!

My Family

Hello Everyone
This time I would like you to meet some of my family. This is "Pa", my wonderful husband and Caleb's Grampa. Pa is Caleb's best member of the family. He just loves to be with Pa; he can crawl all over him and Pa teases him alot; that makes him laugh. But if Pa scholds him, Caleb is tore up more than anyone else. Pa is Caleb's Hero!!

Then there are my two girls. They have always been the treasures of my heart. Their personalities are so different, yet so much the same. They each have become women of faith and women of strength; through their trials as well as their fun. The taller gal (Vicky) is the mother of Caleb. And the gal with the crown (it was just her birthday)(Wendy) is known to Caleb as TeeTee (Auntie). As every woman knows, it is a different kind of love for a grandchild then it is for your own child. But all three bring me joy, give me life and will forever be loved by me.

I love family!!! It is the most important thing in my life besides my realtionship with my savior Jesus Christ. Caleb was here this weekend and my husband and I; we had a great time walking in the woods and just playing and talking with him all weekend. I am so looking forward to being with my family on Easter Sunday - we will be going to a brunch and really have a relaxing day.

AS GRAMMIE'S WOULD HAVE IT!

What a week. I had so much fun with Caleb the other day. Laughing never stopped. I believe that a Grammie can have a special relationship with their grandchildren even at the age of 2. Sometimes when he looks at me he just looks content, happy and really enjoys our time together. Caleb will be 3 in August this year and pretty soon I am going to be writing that Caleb is turning 20 this year. I pray that our relationship has grown to the point that he still wants to be my buddy; do things together, or just sit and talk about what he is doing in this life of his; and where God is leading him. I pray that his life goes easier; but then the rough times is what makes him a man of honor and respect. Does anyone out there relate to the fact that I can't stand going a few days without seeing him, having him overnight, playing the silly games we play. I am sure there are Grandparents out there that feel the same way....but where are you? I want to hear other adventures from Grammies about their grandchildren. Until next time...

The Beginning of My Life as a Grammie

Where do I start....this life journey has taken me through so many things in my almost 54 years. There are so many things I didn't do and so many things I did do that changed the course of my life. It's a turning point being a Grammie, like no other feeling I have ever had in joyous times. I connected with High School friends in the past year and it was GREAT! I loved High School, didn't want to leave. There is so much we talked about, I haven't laughed that much in years. One of them was a Grammie, too. I am becoming one of those women who talks about their grandchild all the time. He is on my ringtone when my phone rings and his face is on the face of my phone. I am a Grammie through and through. It's even more fun because I raised two girls and now he is a boy - what an experience. His name is Caleb and is a very good boy, and so funny.

So I don't know if I am doing this Blog right, but I will be back. I will keep posting as often as I can. Is anyone out there that wants to share?
